Tie-and-Dye Butterfly

What You Need:

  • Baby wipes/ wet tissue
  • Paints
  • Rubber bands
  • Hair clip
  • Googly eyes
  • Pipe cleaners


  • From the centre, twist the wet tissue till the end. Tie rubber bands leaving gaps along the rolled tissue.
  • Paint each gap with a different bright colour.
  • Let the paint dry and open all the rubber bands. You will get a colourful pattern on your tissue.
  • Collect the middle section of the tissue and secure it with a hair clip to make a butterfly.
  • Add googly eyes and pipe cleaners for the antennae as shown.
  • Your tie-and-dye butterfly is ready!
