What You Need:
  • Marble paper in orange, white and green
  • Thick white paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Ribbon
  • Safety pin
  • Black marker
Method:
  • Cut the orange, white and green marble paper into squares measuring 14cms, 12cms and 10cms respectively.
  • Fold the orange square into half. Fold it further to make a square.
  • Fold the square into a triangle and then fold it further to make a slimmer triangle as shown.
  • Draw a curve on the folded paper as shown.
  • Cut the paper along the curve.
  • Open all the folds. You will get an orange flower.
  • Repeat the above steps to make green and white flowers too.
  • Place the orange flower on your worktable and place the white flower at the centre of it. Stick it in place.
  • Now place the green flower at the centre of the white flower as shown. Stick that in place too.
  • Cut 2 circles out of the white paper. Stick 1 at the centre of the green flower.
  • Write a patriotic message on the circle with a black marker. For example, you could write, 'I am a proud Indian'.
  • Stick the other white circle on the underside of the orange flower as shown.
  • Stick a ribbon on the circle as shown.
  • Your tricolour badge is ready! Pierce a safety pin through the ribbon and wear the badge on your clothes this Independence Day!
