The protagonist in this book is the charming and adorable Paddington Bear. This small bear has come all the way from the darkest corner of Peru and has set out on a voyage of a lifetime. All he carries with him is a suitcase, several jars of marmalade, which is his obsession, and a label around his neck saying, "Please look after this bear."

He was found sitting at the station by Mr and Mrs Brown who welcomed this lost bear into their family. His adventure begins right here.

As the hapless bear causes a bit of confusion at the station cafe, he charms everyone with his sincere good intentions. Paddington's unlimited tricks and humorous misadventures are fascinating. The illustrations are delightful, presenting us with a little wobbly and innocent bear that has a simplistic attitude towards life and wins people's hearts.

The language used in this book is simple and suitable for toddlers, with vibrant pictures accompaning the story.
