Singapore Maths Program by Seriously Addictive Math (3.5 to 12yrs)

Age: 3.5 to 12 years
Fees: 8,100 for 3 months

Timing:

  • Monday, Wednesday & Friday 3.30 - 5pm
  • Tuesday & Thursday 3.30 - 6pm
  • Saturday 11.30am - 1.30pm

Seriously Addictive Math focusses on developing all the right skills and attitudes required to excel in maths. It does this through a holistic approach to learning mathematics.

What is S.A.M. (Seriously Addictive Mathematics)?

  • Singapore-based company
  • Provides holistic maths training Enrichment program
  • Specialises in teaching kids from kindergarten to primary level (3.5 to 12 years)
What Kids Will Learn

Critical Thinking: Learning to discern, hypothesize, compare, classify and question assumptions effectively. At S.A.M. we encourage students to think through a problem rather than readily providing them with solutions.

Logical Reasoning: Enhancing your child’s logical process. Embedded in our meticulously designed worksheets are questions designed to train your child to think logically and intelligently, and never to quickly assume a pattern to a solution.

Metacognition: Letting your child build on his knowledge and apply his experience in increasingly complex problems. We have designed over 30,000 pages of daily worksheets with a systematic ‘Step-Up’ approach that usually starts off easy, but builds up to a desired level of difficulty as your child becomes more proficient.Heuristics: Learning to apply suitable methods to solving problem sums. There are always many ways to solve a problem. We train students to explore the various possibilities and then apply the most effective method to solve a given problem.

Modelling Technique: Learning how to solve complex and baffling problem sums through mathematical modelling. At S.A.M, students learn modelling techniques to help them ‘visualise’ a problem before tackling the issues.

Word Problems: Learning how to understand and interpret mathematics in real world application through descriptive story sums. All too often, students get too bogged down with mathematical theory and formulae. At S.A.M., the emphasis is on applications in the real world. This makes learning much more interesting and relevant.
