Fluorescent Frog Spotted

News
A rare species of frog, known as Megophrys pachyproctus huang, was spotted in the Talle Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, Arunachal Pradesh in June 2018. The frog that has markings that turn fluorescent in torchlight, was last seen in Tibet 36 years ago. This rare frog is described as a medium-sized, brownish-yellow frog with a flat head and concave snout. It is known for its scattered crimson tubercles– small rounded projections or protuberances, especially on a bone or skin.
