Glasses for the Hearing Impaired

News
A Japanese technology firm Epson has teamed up with London’s National Theatre and Accenture to develop special eye glasses called Moverio BT-350 smart glasses, which use augmented reality (AR) to broadcast subtitles. With these special glasses, theatre-goers with hearing impairment can focus on the acting without wondering about what is being said, as these special glasses will display live subtitles. Currently, the glasses are available for hire at the National Theatre in London, UK. The smart glasses can be customised to change the typeface, size, colour and position of the subtitles.
