Special Cricket Bread

Fazer, a bakery in Finland, is gaining worldwide recognition for baking loaves of bread by using ground flour made out of dried crickets. According to reports, the Finnish bakery bakes a single loaf of bread by using flour made out of 70 dried crickets. For baking these breads, the company imports cricket flour from the Netherlands. According to Markus Hellstrom, CEO of the bakery, the crickets are first grounded and then made into dough. According to reports, the bakery decided to go on this venture as insects are rich in fatty acids, calcium, iron and vitamin B12.
