Sumire Nakamura: Youngest Professional Go Player

Sumire Nakamura, a nine-year old from Osaka, Japan, will soon become the youngest professional Go player. She will receive the official ranking on April 1. Nakamura started to play this complicated game when she was three years old and by the time she was seven, she was competing in national tournaments. She has broken the record made by Rina Fujisawa, who became a professional Go player at the age of 11 years in 2010.
