Matka Kulfi

What You Need :
  • 1 litre milk
  • ¼ cup castor sugar
  • ¾ cup grated khoya or mawa
  • ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
  • 1 tablespoon blanched and finely chopped pistachios
  • Ask a parent or adult to help you with this recipe.
  • Bring the milk to a boil in a deep non-stick pan and cook till it is reduced to its volume.
  • Remove from heat, add castor sugar, khoya and cardamom powder and mix till the mawa melts. Add the pistachios and mix well.
  • Fill the mixture into earthen pots (kulhads/ matkas) and freeze till set.
  • Serve immediately.
