Armed with a degree in business management and early childcare, entrepreneur Mamta Shah decided to change the way children are educated in Mumbai. She collaborated with a US-based group called FasTracKids and brought their learning techniques to town. Their programmes focus on allowing children to learn through discovery and exploration. At her centre in Santacruz, activities are taught as a combination of fun and interactivity. Mamta says, “Apart from learning skills, the children are taught activities that improve their confidence, concentration and communication skills, creativity, critical thinking abilities and collaboration skills. The programmes engage children holistically thereby enhancing learning.” The programmes are designed for children aged between 2 and 9 years. Some of the programmes are, FasTrack Music, FasTracKids and FasTrack Tots.
