What You Need:
- 1 sheet of cardboard
- 1 sheet of coloured paper
- 1 satay stick
- 6 plastic or wooden beads
- Wool
- Glue
- Rounder with pencil
- With the rounder, mark out two 3-inch circles on the cardboard and the coloured paper sheet. Cut out the circles.
- With the help of the rounder, pierce a hole on 2 opposite ends of 1 cardboard circle. Thread the wool on both sides with 3 beads each. On both sides, tie a knot at the end of the wool to seal it.
- Paste the coloured circles on the cardboard circles.
- Glue the satay stick to the middle of 1 of the cardboard circles. Place the other cardboard circle on top to seal it ensuring the coloured sides face outwards.
- Cut and paste a strip of the coloured paper to seal the edges of the drum.
- Paint or colour the surface with a pattern of your choice.
- Twist the satay stick in between your palms with the action of rubbing your palms together. The beads will hit the sides of the drum to create a drumming sound.
