With class 10 and 12 final examinations cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma announced the evaluation formula to be used in the state. He declared that for class 12 results, students will get an aggregate of 50% marks as obtained in class 10, 40% marks as obtained in class 11’s half-yearly or annual examination and 10% marks as obtained in class 12’s pre-boards, taking the total up to a value based on 100. For class 10 results, students will be given 50% marks as obtained in class 9 and 50% marks as obtained in the class 10 pre-board examinations. There will be no merit list this year.
