The education department in Bengaluru, Karnataka, plans to continue to teach children through gadgets like smartphones, laptops and tablets in the new academic year. The department has asked teachers to send their students worksheets, be in touch with their students twice a week and even e-meet parents. The department has also issued detailed guidelines on how to conduct learning for students through gadgets and worksheets. The department has asked schools’ management committees to ensure that the alumni, public representatives, school development monitoring committees, teachers and volunteers follow the new learning process. Schools are also expected to collect timely data from students so that volunteers can reach out to students who need help.
