On the occasion of Children’s Day, several government schools in Delhi conducted a happiness class where children took on the role of their teachers for the day. On this occasion, the students spoke about the importance of the happiness curriculum and how it has created an impact in their lives, especially during the pandemic. In 2018, the happiness curriculum was introduced to 1,030 Delhi government schools by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with a vision to strengthen the foundation of students’ happiness and well-being. The happiness curriculum involves a meditation session for students from kindergarten to class 8. According to the students, the happiness curriculum has helped them deal with their studies in a better way.
