On July 13, 2019, Indian sprinter Hima Das won a gold medal at the women’s 200mt event at the Kladno Memorial Athletics Meet in Kladno, Czech Republic. This is her third international gold medal in a row. Prior to this, she won gold medals on July 2 and July 7 at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix and the Kunto Athletics Meet in Poland, respectively. Das is recognised as the reigning world junior champion with a best timing of 23.10 seconds. She also holds a national record in the 400mt sprint.
