With the ongoing heatwave in Europe and rise in temperatures in countries across the world, Japanese multinational company Sony has come up with a device to keep you cool during unbearable days. The Reon Pocket is a wearable device that uses thermoelectric cooling to bring a person’s body temperature down. It can reduce ambient body temperature by 13°C. In addition, the device can also be used as a heater during winter where it can raise the ambient body temperature by 8°C. Users can control temperature changes with a downloadable mobile app. The Reon Pocket is a Bluetooth device that is as big as a cardholder. It must be put into the pocket or placed at the base of the neck of a special undershirt. The mini device has a battery life of 90 minutes and takes about two hours to charge. It weighs 85gms. The product is expected to be available by 2020. The cost of a Reon Pocket and one undershirt is approximately $130 (approximately `9,250).
