Sanitiser booths have been installed in over
300 government and aided schools in Kerala.
This was done in order to ensure students’
hygiene and safety. The booths are installed
at the entrance of the schools. They are
equipped with a sensor-integrated automatic
machine that will dispense sanitiser without
needing to be touched.
These automatic machines will function using both electricity and batteries. What’s more, in schools where electronics is a part of the syllabus, the machines have been made by the students. This unique initiative was taken up by the Vocational Higher Secondary Education unit of the National Service Scheme (NSS).
