School Bell Rings After 543 Days

In Bangladesh, more than 10,000 students returned to schools after almost 543 days. Owing to the enforced lockdown due to COVID-19, schools in Bangladesh had been closed since March 17, 2020. In many schools, teachers welcomed back their students with flowers and chocolates. Many students arrived way before time and flashed huge smiles in anticipation of the day ahead. Parents were not allowed to enter school premises as part of COVID safety protocols. Educational institutes were reopened after almost 97% of the teachers and school staff were vaccinated.
