Voyager 2, NASA's space probe launched in 1977, has entered interstellar space after 41 years. It is the second man-made object in history to do so. Leaving the heliosphere, after travelling for 41 years till date, Voyager 2 is being deemed as NASA's longest-running mission. Voyager 2, which is now about 11 billion miles away from Earth is in an area known as heliopause. It will collect data on the nature of interstellar space by using its onboard instruments.
