Seymourpowell, a design company from England, has unveiled a smart gym mat that can be connected to other smart products in a home. This concept mat was developed during the lockdown when the company surveyed 250 people’s experiences of exercising at home. The mat allows consumers to work with their coach in order to continue with their traditional workout, but from home. It also allows people to work out with friends. The mat is fitted with sensors that measure the position, weight, speed and power of a user, allowing the instructor to provide feedback and exercises as if they were present in person.
