The teachers at Diamond Jubilee High School for Girls, Mumbai, embraced technology and enhanced their teaching methods to ensure students do not lose out on time and lessons during the lockdown. The school also appointed teachers who are experts in technology to mentor other teachers to overcome challenges faced while teaching classes online. Tools required for virtual classes like digital worksheets, videos and assignments were well-planned by the teachers for smooth online teaching. Schedules were planned taking into consideration the availability of devices and siblings’ class timings, in order to avoid clashes. To reduce anxiety and stress, the teachers found ways to keep their students occupied with creative activities, which also helped in strengthening the bond between parents and children. The school also introduced an e-library with more than 1,000 books available to students at a click.
