In order to give tourism a much-needed boost, Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha announced that from November 1, people from 10 low-risk nations such as UK, China, Germany and USA will be allowed to travel to Thailand on a tourist visa. Though only 33% of the Thai population is fully vaccinated and half the population has received one dose, the PM has opened up the country to help its people make ends meet. On December 1, some more countries will be granted permission to land on Thai soil. All travellers will need to present a COVID-negative report and test again on arrival. If the second test is also negative, the visitors will be free to travel across Thailand. Meanwhile, India reopened for tourists on October 15
