Twins Develop Ambulance Signal System

Twin brothers K Balakumar and K Balachandran, who are class 12 students of Melur Government Higher Secondary School, Tamil Nadu, have invented an ambulance signal system that can warn commuters and traffic police of an approaching ambulance, giving them enough time to make way for the ambulance. The twins were two years old when they lost their father to a road accident. They firmly believe that he could have been saved had the ambulance taken him to the hospital in good time. The ambulance signal system created by the boys works using circuit boards, GPS and sensors that are fitted inside the ambulance. This invention will help ferry patients to hospitals faster.
