Cities all over the globe could experience more than 6ft of flooding by 2100. Rising sea levels could be even more devastating for coastal cities, which could lead to severe damage and destruction. According to USA’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), sea levels could rise by 10 to 12ft if global emissions continue to rise. However, these numbers are guesstimates, which means that some areas could experience a drastic rise in sea levels, whereas some could not be affected at all. Although cities could install new infrastructure and artificial barriers to protect themselves from climate change, it is estimated that seven cities in the US will most likely submerge by 2100. The seven cities are New Orleans, Miami, Houston, Atlantic City, Charleston, Boston and Virginia Beach.
