Chocolate Coated Nuts

What You Need:
  • ½ cup chopped dark chocolate
  • ¼ cup chopped white chocolate
  • 12 almonds
  • 12 cashew nuts
  • Ask a parent or adult to help you with this recipe.
Method:
  • Roast the almonds and cashew nuts in a non-stick pan till light brown. Take the pan off the heat and spread the roasted nuts on a tray to cool.
  • Place the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and melt in a microwave oven on HIGH for 30 seconds. Allow the chocolate to cool, stirring continuously, to 30ºC.
  • Dip the roasted nuts in the melted chocolate. Using a fork, place the nuts on a silicon sheet or butter paper and refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Place the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and melt in a microwave oven on HIGH for 30 seconds. Allow the chocolate to cool, stirring continuously, to 30ºC.
  • Pour the melted white chocolate in a piping bag with a pointed nozzle and drizzle an attractive design on the coated nuts. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  • Serve chilled.
