The Goddess Earth

Poems

By Jagsthit Sagar, Class 3 A, The Shri Ram School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi

The bird’s mouths are open with dryness these days,
Even the Antarctica is sweating with the sun rays.
The animal’s skins is on sale,
As they are killed head to tail
The garbage is now going too much in the sewer,
If you want to live on Earth, handle it with care
Oh, Oh! Protect the Ozone Layer,
Or the Earth might not have anything to wear.
Put water out for birds,
You’ll see that they’ll come in herds.
Use bicycles, buses and carpool more,
Sometimes it is good to make your engines not roar.
Stop buying things made in factories that pollute,
Then the Earth might just salute.
Don’t put things into the garbage can,
Reuse, reduce and recycle so, it doesn’t go into the garbage van.
