"Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to the mankind!” These were the words of Late American President , John f Kennedy. Today I take this opportunity to thank our nation’s guiding lights in face of this adverse pandemic crisis. As our scriptures read and teach, the "Hanuman ”potrays selfless service beyond the call of duty. This is the quality that has been aptly displayed by the Corona Warriors of India. Hanuman is "sankat mochan” and so have been the corona warriors at the forefront. From doctors to nurses, hospital staff, sanitation workers, airlines employees, government staff, police personnel, media people, people associated with train-bus-auto rickshaw services, and home delivery agents; all have been selflessly serving others, without caring about themselves. In the current circumstances, these services cannot be considered to be ordinary. Today the buzzword is "Corona”, as the invisible has turned around everything… from the manners of greetings to classroom teachings; from enjoying movies in multiplexes to riding school buses. A new normal lifestyle is slowly but surely transforming our life.

Everyday we are introduced to new vocabulary like quarantine, lockdowns, unlocks social distancing, visitors, masks and so on. Amidst all that, the unarmed warriors are on battleground to fight the deadliest enemy of the 21st century - Covid 19 which has so far claimed million lives world over. When soldiers fight on our borders to save the country, they are well- armed & they know who the enemy is. But here the enemy is invisible and far more invincible. TODAY our dedicated doctors are busy 24×7 in hospitals to save the patients. But unfortunately, many have themselves succumbed to this virus. Remember the day when all of us, rich and poor alike, stood in our balconies clapping , beating thalies to celebrate the dedication of our warriors. Even our armed forces showered flowers to recognize the sacrifice of theirs. It was a gesture to express our gratitude to these warriors. We are forever, indebted to those who have given their lives that we might be free of this curse. Feel indebted, feel grateful bcoz only then will the abundance grow. Today each one of us is a corona warrior, struggling to wriggle out of this mess. Look at our teachers who are busy holding online classes & taking care of their own kids at home, looking after the old chores & teaching all side by side.

Also friends! don't you think this cruel, capricious corona has already turned us all innocent, fun loving kids into warriors...? I remember, Josep Borell (Europeon Union Minister of Foreign Affairs) had once said, "Covid-19 will reshape our world. We don’t yet know when the crisis will end. But we can be sure that by the time it does, our world will look very different.” Let's all be optimistic that the "different” is better in every sense of our existence! The sunny side of Covid-19 pandemic has brought to us examples of exemplary courage among our frontline workers. And not just frontline workers but people from all walks of life have become the symbols of collective spirit. Say for example, actor Sonu Sood whose humanitarian acts have metamorphosed him from an onscreen villan to a reallife messiah. Friends, I conclude my thoughts with a salute to all those working day in and day out to to wipe out the human sufferings. We must remember and respect the "HUMANE IN HUMAN”. The little poet inside me wants to hum these lines by Martin Luther king...we shall overcome,we shall overcome someday...O o deep in my heart I do believe we shall overcome someday. ..
