Did you know that there was a deep history about Halloween, and that is: Halloween was started by the CELTS who lived 2,000 years ago in an area which is now known as Ireland. They celebrated their New year on the 1st of November. They believed that the night before the New Year the ghosts would come to the world of living! So, to protect themselves, they celebrated the Festival Of Samhain on the 31st of October also modernly known as Halloween. They would were costumes and light up bonfires to scare the ghosts. So, this is story but there is something more else. The word Halloween means Hallowed Evening. Don't forget about the famous Jack-O-Lanterns! So, the Celts often carved faces on turnips or potatoes to light the way to theirs homes for the good sprites to enter. Later, when they went to America they discovered the pumpkin to be the new face of Halloween! The End! So this is the story of Halloween!
