Good Bye 2020
By Lakshmi Nishitha Tankala, Class 9, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Begumpet, Hyderabad
Hi, this is Nishitha. We all experienced unique, weird, funny, sad, emotional, scary times in this so called 2020. The world turned upside down.
We all were so much into the busy world that we forgot about little and important things. We went far away from our family and friends. We were always travelling around, kids playing together, school buses taking students to schools. But, all of a sudden when everything got changed, we lost ourselves. We all pushed the pause button of our lives. The busy cities went silent, the noisy traffic was no more there, the roads were free, the crowded markets were empty, theaters were out of movies, the global economy came down, we stopped meeting people and trees were all happily swaying their branches.
But, all the games on the attic came on to the table, we started cooking huge varieties of food, started to explore new things about our own selves and improved our talents. The best thing about this year is that we got disconnected from the busy world and got connected with oneself and with our family. But, there were difficult and sad times too. People were falling sick; a few got the cure and a few left the world as well. We learnt to keep ourselves and our surroundings neat and clean.
We all saw that environment got a little better and we all understood the value of money and time. What ever happened has happened, we cannot change it. So, let’s forget it and push the play button of our lives and move on. Life will go on. All I would like to say is take good care of yourself and your families. Be happy, be safe. Let’s all hope for the best. Let’s all wish that we shall have a happy, healthy and a prosperous year. WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021 -NISHITHA
