My Mother, A Queen

Poems

By Divya Bamorya , Class 10 A, O.P. Jindal School, Raigarh

She wears a crown
But never flaunts it,
My mother is that queen,
Who would help her kingdom in despair.
She chooses to shed her blood,
Rather rushing to her dome,
My mother is that queen,
Who would be the kingdom's barrier.
She denies the jewels,
Says no the new ball gowns,
My mother is that queen
Who would be the kingdom's beloved.
She says no to the tea parties,
'Cause her carriage is set to the fields.
My mother is that queen,
Who would be kingdom's friend in need.
