Black

Poems

By Krisha nijhawan , Class 8, The Millennium School Noida, Delhi

The color black
So dark and deep I
t is Sometimes wholesome sometimes upbeat
A life or two it does hold
Sometimes mellow sometimes bold
Bitter as my morning coffee
Sweet as the vanilla in the hard toffee
Sour as lemon
Overshadows every color like a demon
But later I realize
So are the moods of life
Let black be your inspiration to let no one have the liability
To instill you to ultimate slavery
Let black be your inspiration to lead a life
Assertive enough to bring to the table your rights
After all You may change your moods later
Sometimes sweet sometimes savory
