Once I went to the zoo,

I saw a peacock and a hyena too.

An elephant eating hay,

the deer were out that day.

A bear in the lair,

crocodiles napping in the sun

and hippos having fun.

Red, blue, pink and yellow birds

chirping happily about.

Monkeys swinging on the bars,

eating yellow bananas.

"Neelgai” were running free

and the python was curled around the tree.

Soon it was time to go,

but I wished for more…

I promised myself my love for the zoo

would only grow!!
