Incy Wincy Spiders 

“Eeeks, a spider!” That is how most of us react on seeing the eight-legged arachnid, with its eight beady eyes. But why do we panic? Is it because it looks creepy or because we know it can sting? Well, so can many other creatures like snakes, wasps, bees and scorpions and they all sting for a good reason—self-defence. The stings of spiders are painful, but they are not usually dangerous. There are innumerable species of spiders found in every continent except Antarctica and they have made their homes in all kinds of habitats. Let’s meet some of them.

Common House Spider: The most common spider is the one we see on the ceilings of our houses. By brushing off those cobwebs while spring-cleaning our homes, we are actually destroying their homes.
