Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, which is the largest tulip garden in Asia, received more than 1 lakh visitors in the first week of its opening. Located between Dal Lake and Zabarwan Hills in Jammu and Kashmir, the 52.5-hectare garden is one of Srinagar’s most well-known tourist attractions. The garden houses approximately 16 lakh tulips of 68 varieties along with many other spring flowers including daffodils and hyacinths. The garden has many waterfalls and fountains as well as decorative lighting. The garden remains open to visitors during tulip blooming season, which is from late March till the end of April annually.
