Anoushka Jolly, a 13-year-old student from Pathways School, Gurugram, received ₹50 lakh on the television show ‘Shark Tank India’ for her social initiative to stop bullying. Three years ago, she started a platform for students as well as parents to report bullying. The Anti Bullying Squad (ABS) impacted over 2,000 students with the help of over 100 schools and universities, educational institutions, social organisations and experts. Her mobile application called Kavach gives schools and counsellors an opportunity to tactfully intervene and act upon incidents of bullying. It also helps users to understand the consequences of bullying and encourages them to take a pledge to prevent it.
