2026 Here We Come!

The beginning of a new year serves as a fresh chance for people to chase new dreams and transform old habits. It brings renewed hope, energy and optimism, encouraging people to embark on new journeys and develop fresh perspectives. As we head into 2026, SCARLETT RODRIGUES asked a few RobinAgers what they hope the year brings their way and what they wish for. Here’s what they had to say.

January 01, 2026

Madhav Rajput
Class 9, American Eduglobal School, Ghaziabad

I wish this year brings peace and justice to everyone. As man-made and natural calamities have been occurring all over the world, I hope this year brings relief and calmness. I wish that humans and the Earth get the chance to heal. Personally, I wish to perform better in my exams and grow my social circle. As a change from regular life, I want to participate in more adventurous activities like hiking, trekking and camping. This year, I also aspire to learn to stay calm.

Zara Zaheer
Class 9, American Eduglobal School, Ghaziabad

The year 2026 will serve as a fresh start for me. I wish the year is filled with new experiences, exciting opportunities and chances to learn new things. I wish to use every experience for self-development. I want to go on journeys that push me out of my comfort zone. I wish the year brings me chances to explore my undiscovered strengths. As I am in class 9, I wish to improve at managing my studies, while also making time for activities that refresh me. I also hope that my bond with my parents grows stronger. I want to be more understanding and helpful towards them. Besides this, I hope the year brings awareness among people about the need to protect the environment.

Sai Prabhu
Class 7, Aspee Nutan Academy, Mumbai

I hope 2026 brings me more stability, as the previous year was unpredictable. I wish to learn data analysis or project management this year, which will support my career in the future. The year should arouse curiosity in me, encouraging me to take up new challenges and develop my personality. I wish to connect with nature and find peace by travelling to Kerala, Himachal Pradesh or the beaches of Goa. Besides this, I wish to get better at managing tasks and completing my work on time, so I have enough time for myself and my family and friends. I have realised that though I might be busy, it is important that I care for myself and my loved ones.

Samaira Chhikara
Class 6, Suncity School, Sector 54, Gurugram

I hope 2026 brings me confidence, joy and plenty of chances to understand the world. This year, I wish to participate in new activities and adventures so that I can become stronger and more courageous. I also want to learn how to manage my time and studies calmly, without getting stressed out. Additionally, I wish to spend more quality time with family and friends, building happy memories. I hope to spend each day thinking positively, caring for my health and exploring my talents. Besides me, I wish this year brings joy, peace and chances for growth, hope and pride for everyone.

Aakriti Ghosh
Class 6, National Public School ITPL, Bengaluru

I wish the year 2026 is filled with celebration, adventure, laughter and hope. Among the things I wish for is to bring home a four-legged friend. I have long been waiting to welcome and care for a puppy. Additionally, I want to engage in activities that enhance my confidence and social skills. As I have a strong connection with music, I wish to master playing the guitar and composing my own melodies. I wish to make new memories by visiting a new country. Most of all, I want to find ways to rise above my worries, stay strong and grow into the best version of myself.

Aagam Jain
Class 5, The Heritage School, Kolkata

I wish 2026 is filled with fun. I wish to pursue a new interest like coding, learning the guitar or drawing. I want to spend more time practicing tabla so that I can master complex rhythms. Furthermore, I wish to explore new books that take me on journeys to distant, magical places. I can’t wait to build new friendships, spend time with friends and enjoy laughs with them during school activities and projects. To improve my physical health, I wish to engage in more outdoor games such as badminton. A habit I aim to overcome this year is procrastination. As a part of my self-growth journey, I wish to start a gratitude journal, which will help me be grateful for small things. On Sundays, I want to spend some time thinking about the week, learning from my mistakes and celebrating small wins.
