To enhance students’ understanding of challenging social problems, the Department of Public Education in Kerala launched a social awareness initiative at the beginning of the 2025-2026 academic year. In the first two weeks of the year, students in Kerala attended interactive social awareness sessions instead of learning from textbooks. During these classes, they were taught various topics, including emotional management, hygiene, law and digital safety. Teachers in Kerala received special training to facilitate this initiative.
