Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) giant Hindustan Unilever Limited has named Priya Nair as its first female chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director (MD). Nair took charge of the position on August 1, replacing Rohit Jawa. The 53-year-old has been associated with the company since 1995 and most recently served as the Beauty and Wellbeing business’ president. During her tenure at the organisation, she has served in various capacities, including the Homecare business’ executive director. She is an alumnus of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, and Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai.
