- To empower innovators, an Atal Incubation Centre was inaugurated at the Abu Dhabi campus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.
- This is the first Atal Incubation Centre to be set up at an Indian university outside India and marks a milestone in India’s efforts to broaden its innovation framework.
- The facility, set up under the Atal Innovation Mission, was inaugurated by Dharmendra Pradhan, the union education minister, during his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in September this year.
- The endeavour seeks to support joint start-ups and encourage the sharing of expertise, boosting collaborations between UAE and India in the fields of space and education.
