Debadrita Sarkar is a 16-year-old girl who has achieved some of the great achievements in the field of literature. At the age of 16, she has already a published writer and poet in multiple magazines and awarded by some of the promising organisations.
She was only 12, when she had started writting and got success within the consecutive years. At the age of 13, she got editor’s choice award from The Monomousumi Creative writting Competition in Bengali Poems category.
At the age of 14, she got Special Achieving award from Nehrdo (National Education and Human Research Development Organisation) in Essay Category and Diamonds Award from NAAE (National Academy of Arts and Education) in the field of Creative writting. At the age of tender 15, she participated in Creative Olympiad of Monomousumi Organisation and secured 1st and 3rd place in 1st Level and 2nd level respectively and awarded with certificates signed by Author Chetan Bhagat, Trophy, Medals and a payment of two hundred rupees in Bengali Poem and Short stories category. She also secured 3rd place in the International Essay writting Contest by Monomousumi, sponsored by Ink your thoughts, in English Essay category.
At the tender age of 15, she became a published writer and author. Her essay ” Marks Mania ” published in The Hindu Open page On September and on the very next month of October (2024), her short story The brightest Moon got published in The Statesman. She had also written her first book “Cities And Villages” and self published under Bribooks.
At the current age of 16, she has been published in about twenty-two periodicals in online and print, around six countries (India, Netherlands, Chile, Croatia, UK and USA) and around total Three Continents. Her name is also enlisted under 22 Young Authors of India of Himlayan Writting Retreat. She has also self-published more than ten e-books. She is now trying to get traditionally published author.
