An Indian snooker player from Chennai named Anupama Ramachandran achieved a significant milestone by emerging victorious in the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) World Snooker Championship (15-red). This victory made her the first Indian female to win the championship, which was held in Doha, Qatar. Ramachandran, who won against compatriot Keerthana Pandian in the championship’s semifinals, beat Ng On Yee of Hong Kong 3-2 in the final. Her skillful potting of the black ball in the competitive final led her to win the championship.
