A group of researchers headed by the University of Tokyo’s Tomonori Totani is believed to have discovered the possible signs of dark matter, an unusual kind of matter that researchers have been working to comprehend. Though researchers believe in the existence of dark matter in space, they have been unable to provide evidence of its existence. During their study, researchers identified strange gamma rays emerging from the Milky Way’s central region. They made this discovery with the help of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Fermi Large Area Telescope and believe that these rays could be a sign of particles of dark matter. However, further studies need to be conducted to confirm it.
