An engineer of Indian origin named Amar Subramanya has been named technology company Apple’s vice president of artificial intelligence (AI). Subramanya replaced John Giannandrea and is expected to drive advancements in the company’s AI initiatives, including its AI system, Apple Intelligence. He has been associated with renowned companies such as Microsoft and Google during his career. He worked with Google for more than a decade and significantly contributed to the company’s AI assistant, Gemini. A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) graduate from Bangalore University, Subramanya possesses extensive experience in various fields including machine learning and natural language processing (NLP).
