In a remarkable breakthrough, the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, a century-old university, has chosen its first female vice-chancellor. Manali Kshirsagar, an experienced academician, has been appointed to the post, making her the first woman to serve in this role since the institution’s establishment 102 years ago. Previously, the 54-year-old was associated with Nagpur’s Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering as director (technical) and advisor. In her new role, she plans to start courses that enhance students’ technological skills and bring about transformative changes in the university’s operations.
