Lala Lajpat Rai, fondly called Punjab Kesari and Sher-e-Punjab or Lion of Punjab, remains one of India’s most powerful symbols of courage and conviction. Born on January 28, 1865, he rose to become a fierce nationalist, a disciplined thinker and a compassionate leader. His life was shaped by service, sacrifice and an unwavering belief in justice. He was one amongst the Lal-Bal-Pal trio of courageous freedom fighters, where Lal proudly referred to him.
