The Importance of Avoiding War

Aadrika Augusti, Class 6, St Joseph’s Convent High School, Tezpur, Assam

War is a major problem. Peace, harmony, that is what we need. I, for one, can hardly tell people to follow my lead, but I am saying, “Give the matter some thought,” so that you can clear some of the things in your mind. This, however, does not occur to us in rage. Think things in a calm state of mind. In rage, we cannot think properly. As it goes, we declare war, and this thought does not come at all. Wars do not do anything but cause misery, anger and a desire for revenge. We can make war occur fewer times. Though gradually, we can. When you are out of your rage, think. Sort things out. Spread peace.
