The Magical Elevator
The Magical Elevator
You will not believe it! I went on an elevator to the future. It started with me and Shambhavi, my friend, testing the new elevator that Dr Maria, the inventor with glasses and brown curly hair, made.

“Could we test it?” I asked.
“Yes, Aahana,” replied Dr Maria, smiling at the shiny sleek elevator.
“Danger detected!” Riya, the silver robot, said. A hum coming in the robotic voice as a red alert appeared on the computer.
After she (Dr Maria) left her room, Shambhavi and I went in the elevator. It smelled like sunflowers in the morning sun. Shambhavi pressed a blue button. The elevator started shaking. When the shaking stopped, the doors opened. We tumbled out! I saw a futuristic city. It looked like a video game, Prime Empire. We saw a silver robot with cyan eyes and a girl with a pink dress.

“Maxine! Annie!” I exclaimed excitedly.
“How do you know them?” Shambhavi asked, puzzled.
“I created them!” I squealed proudly.
“Nice!” Shambhavi replied.
“Maxine, we need your help. Can you please send us to the present?” I pleaded.
Maxine, who knew a lot about technology, found a rainbow-coloured button.
“This will take you to the present!” she said, pointing towards the button.
“We will miss you!” Annie sighed.

“We will miss you too!” I responded in a dull note.
Shambhavi and I went in the elevator, pressed the rainbow button and waved bye to our friends.
Oh! It is good to be back to the present, though the future is so exciting. When we got back, Dr Maria smiled, “Well done! The test was smashing and epic.”
Shambhavi and I looked at the elevator beaming. This elevator was not ordinary. It was a time machine. We will see them again but there is no place like home.
