Aarthi Subramanian is the newly appointed executive director, president and chief operating officer (COO) of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), becoming the first woman to hold this position. Her association with the Tata Group spans over 30 years. She joined as a graduate trainee and rose to the role of a senior executive. She also led the group’s digital, technology and innovation portfolios. Her leadership has been recognised with several accolades, including the Technology Leader of the Year award at the ETPrime Women Leadership Awards 2019 and inclusion in Business Today’s Most Powerful Women in Business in 2016.
