Avi Schiffmann, a 19-year-old student studying neurophilosophy at Harvard University, USA, has launched a website, UkraineTakeShelter.com, to help more than two million Ukrainian refugees. The website helps Ukrainians who have been fleeing their homes after Russian attacks to connect with people who are offering spare rooms or a couch to sleep on. Within a week of the website’s launch, thousands of people from several countries posted on it offering entire homes, annexes or rooms in their houses to help Ukrainian refugees.
