My friends Soha, Saahir, Arjun, Ryan and I went to Chowpatty beach for a beach clean up as part of our Unit of Inquiry for school. We chose beach clean up as one of the Choice boards for Conservation of the Planet. On the beach there were so many small packets of plastic, bottle caps, cloth, wires, paper cups, plastic bowls and plastic cutlery.
The BMC luckily had their garbage truck close by giving us the indication that they would be cleaning up soon. In the hot sun while we were cleaning up, I felt it was a hard job to do. I wish people did not litter in the first place. The government has provided dustbins but people yet choose to throw their garbage on the sand. In the middle of the garbage we found little pieces of treasure like shells and marbles which made our beach clean up a lot of fun.
